Biological Booster
Find Biological Booster with high efficiency and consistent quality
Biological boosters in wastewater treatment are microorganism- or enzyme-based additive products used to accelerate and improve the wastewater treatment process. These boosters are usually natural bacterial cultures (e.g. Bacillus, Pseudomonas, or nitrifying-denitrifying bacteria) formulated in liquid, powder, or granule form.
Main Functions
-
Enhances organic degradation
Helps break down complex organic matter (fats, proteins, carbohydrates) into simpler compounds that are easier to process. -
Reduces odor
Microbes in the booster can suppress the growth of anaerobic bacteria that cause unpleasant odors (H₂S, ammonia). -
Stabilizes biological processes
Useful when native microbial populations are disrupted due to fluctuations in pH, temperature, or the introduction of toxic chemicals. -
Reduces sludge
By increasing degradation, the volume of excess sludge can be reduced resulting in reduced sludge disposal costs. -
Improves removal efficiency of BOD, COD, TSS, and nutrients
Boosters help biological systems achieve better quality standards.
Applications
-
Domestic WWTP: for household waste, apartments, hotels, restaurants.
-
Industrial WWTP: for food, beverage, textile, pharmaceutical factory effluents, etc.
-
Aeration ponds & septic tanks: accelerate natural processes, reduce odors, prevent pollution.
Note
Biological booster is not a replacement for the sewage treatment system, but rather a supplementation to accelerate the performance of the existing biological unit. The results are highly dependent on the WWTP design, discharge, type of effluent, as well as operating conditions (pH, DO, temperature, organic load).
