BETAGARD 4008 is a yellow to amber colored liquid, functioning as a coagulant aid or sludge conditioning agent in the liquid-solids separation process. BETAGARD 4008 is specifically used in water & wastewater treatment to reduce suspended solids (tubidity), color and other contaminants such as natural organic matter from surface water, collodial particles, salts and clays stabilized by surface electrostatic charges that prevent the particles from coalescing.

BETAGARD 4050

ORGANIC COAGULANT

BETAGARD 4050 is a concentrated liquid of low molecular weight, cationic polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride or POLYDADMAC which functions effectively as primary coagulant or coagulant aid in water or wastewater clarification. It is chlorine-resistant and effective over a wide pH range, and can substitute or be used in conjunction with inorganic primary coagulants such as alum and ferric salts. The maximum recommended concentration of BETAGARD 4050 in the treatment of potable water is 20 ppm. BETAGARD 4050 is also recommended for other liquid-solids separation processes, such as :

  • Dewatering of a wide range of industrial and municipal sludge;
  • Removal of suspended solids from wastewater;
  • Gravity settling;
  • Filtration
  • ; Centrifugation
  • ; Air floatation;
  • Oil and water separation;
  • Color Removal.

Actual dosage should be determined in laboratory tube tests. For best performance results, BETAGARD 4050 should be diluted with clean water and metered continuously to the system using a corrosion resistant positive displacement pump.

BETAGARD 4050 Series

Raw Water Clarifier Floculant

BETAGARD 4050 Series is a low molecular weight concentrated liquid, cationic polydiall dimethyl ammonium chloride or POLYDADMAC that functions effectively as a primary coagulant or coagulant aid in water or wastewater clarification. This product is chlorine resistant and effective over a wide pH range, and can replace or be used in conjunction with inorganic primary coagulants such as alum and ferric salts. The maximum recommended concentration for BETAGARD 4050 in drinking water treatment is 20 ppm. BETAGARD 4050 is also recommended for other liquid-solids separation processes, such as:

  • Dewatering of various industrial and municipal sludges;
  • Removal of suspended solids from wastewater;
  • Gravity settling;
  • Filtration;
  • Centrifugation;
  • Air floatation;
  • Separation of oil and water;
  • Color Removal.
