Dissolved Air Floatation

Our seawater and river water especially near ports or jetties are susceptible to oil contamination, which is typically discharge from waste discharges or oil leaks released by ships, boats and oil storage tankers. Oil and grease can cause fouling of RO membrane and even media filter.

That is why we need to remove oil and grease before filtration stage with Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF).Our DAF is designed to remove light floating contaminants such as oil, grease, and algal cells, which can not be removed by sedimentation or filtration. It uses very small air bubbles to float the contaminants and then collect it at the top and skimmed off for disposal.
