Dissolved Air Floatation

Seawater and river water, particularly in close proximity to ports and jetties, face the constant threat of oil contamination stemming from waste discharges or oil spills originating from ships, boats, and oil storage tankers. These oil and grease pollutants have the potential to obstruct Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes and media filters. This underscores the necessity of preemptive measures to eliminate oil and grease prior to the filtration stage, a task efficiently handled by our Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) system. Specifically engineered to address the removal of lightweight floating impurities such as oil, grease, and algal cells—substances resistant to conventional sedimentation or filtration processes—DAF employs minuscule air bubbles to lift these contaminants to the surface for effortless removal and proper disposal, ensuring the integrity of your water treatment process.
