Boiler Treatment Chemical : Condensate Corrosion Inhibitor

Dissolved carbon dioxide in the boiler feed water can lead to carbonic acid corroding the condensate return lines. This corrosion can lead to leaks, premature failure and iron in the steam boiler system. As such the addition of a volatile condensate treatment is required to bring the pH up and prevent corrosion.

Our Betagard series are combination of neutralizing amines having different distribution ratios, provides maximum protection throughout the entire steam condensate system against corrosion attack caused by carbon dioxide, rapidly volatilizes and is distributed through the system with the steam. a less volatile component neutralizes carbonic acid formed at those portions closest to the boiler, while the more volatile component tends to carry further and protects the more distant parts of the system.
